South Wales Police have confirmed that a Penarth man has been sent to prison for 42 weeks after pleading guilty to two charges of supplying cannabis.
In March 2015 officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act in March 2015 at the home of Ashley Mark Thompson at Owain Close, Llandough . Here they found 53 grams of cannabis resin in a garden shed and in a barbecue in the back garden.
In an upstairs cupboard, police found over £2,000 in £10 and £20 notes. When Thompson himself got home he found the police waiting for him and was promptly arrested .
On top of his jail sentence – handed out at Cardiff Crown Court – Thompson must also pay a victim surcharge of £100.
