A police diving team using sonar equipment has been brought in to search the River Taff because Ms Ridout’s family had said that was “where they believed Lorraine might be” – although in fact there’s no evidence that the missing woman entered the river. Meanwhile police dog teams have been combing the Gabalfa area of Cardiff – so far to no avail

Police are asking anyone with any knowledge of Lorraine Ridout or her whereabouts to call 101.
