There has been an overnight break in at the  Park Veterinary Surgery in Albert Road, Penarth.

The front door of teh surgery had been jemmied open. Paper had been placed on the door to protect any forensic evidence until the police arrive.

Police were called to the scene just after 22:30 last night. The front door of the premises had been damaged by being jemmied-open.

One of the partners who run the surgery, Suzanne Baxter,  said today that  no drugs  had been stolen from the premises. but charity collection boxes had been taken .

Despite the break-in, the surgery is open as usual this morning for customers – but areas where there may be footprints or fingerprints have been protected pending the arrival of the forensic officers later today.
