Rail replacement bus services will be operating from Penarth and Cogan over the Easter weekend

There will be “Severe Delays”  on rail services to and from Penarth over the Easter weekend according to information released by Arriva Trains Wales.

The major timetable disruptions will begin on at 21:15  on Saturday March 26 and will continue until Tuesday March 29th because of engineering work taking place at several  points on the tracks.

Cogan Station car park will be closed so that it can be used by rail replacement buses and there will also be  restrictions at Cardiff Central Station.

Cogan Station will be closed over the Easter Weekend to allow Rail replacement buses to call there.On Easter Saturday an additional complication is the Cardiff Half Marathon being run through Penarth Marina

On Easter Saturday March 26 from 21:15 no trains will run between Cardiff Queen Street and Cardiff Central. Buses replace trains between Cardiff Central and Cogan / Penarth

On Sunday March 27th Buses will replace trains between Cardiff Central and Penarth

On Monday March 28th  Rail replacement buses  will run between Cardiff Central and Penarth / Cogan / Radyr.

On Tuesday March 29th Rail replacement buses  will run between Cardiff Central and Barry / Penarth / Radyr.

    Replacement buses on the day roads are closed? Genius! They did exactly the same at half marathon in October.
