As two schoolboys clash – a third – wearing a white shirt intervenes

A street-brawl in Stanwell Road, Penarth –  involving what appear to be several schoolboys – has gone viral on Facebook.

It appears to take place outside the Stanwell Surgery – the GPs’ practice in Stanwell Road, next-door to the Spar convenience store.

Onlookers in the sedate suburb gather around as half a dozen boys get involved in the scrap

The fight – which was posted on the internet on February 26th – has viewed by Facebook subscribers around the world and shows the youngsters, wrestling, trading punches and punching seven-bells out of each other.

As least one schoolboy is felled by a single punch and another is attacked as he lies on the ground .

The white-shirted youth who'd intervened earlier is punched to the ground - and seconds latyer so is another youth.

The white-shirted youth who’d intervened earlier is felled by a right fist. Seconds later another youth is also floored.

As some of the participants keep their “hoodies” up , presumably so as not to reveal their faces, they may have been well-aware at the time that they were being filmed on a mobile phone  – however, in the melee, as the fists flail, the hoodies come off.

Bare-knuckle schoolboy fights are, of course, nothing new. They’ve been going on for generations. In the mobile phone age however, a relatively minor  incident of fleeting violence is rendered permanent and can be witnessed by millions. As for what had triggered it all  – who knows? Probably even the participants can’t now remember.

The fight video is on Facebook’s “Brutal Street Fights” page on
