Two Penarth men  have co-written a new crime novel which has now been published electronically via the on-line internet bookseller Amazon.

The two authors are Mike Phillips and Danny Bushell – both of whom live in the town and have based part of the action of the novel, the first of a planned trilogy, in Cardiff Bay .

Mike Phillips describes himself as originally being “a Canton boy”  but has lived in Penarth for more than 15 years . He published his first e-book “Abby & Me” last year and has “won a couple of writing competitions”  in the past.

His collaborator on the new novel – called “Chasing Tigers” – is Danny Bushell with whom he has co-written “ a couple of TV sitcoms among other things“. Danny was born and raised in London but moved to Penarth in 2002. The pair also collaborate on other writing projects.

They decided to publish “Chasing Tigers” – via Amazon’s self e-publishing system as a way to get the book to market quickly and in a cost-effective way.

The book  is described as a “gritty crime novel spread between London and Cardiff” and can be downloaded on Amazon Kindle for £2.12  at http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01E3YHCQS
