BBC One Show presenter Alex Jones has been amongst the hundreds of people who enjoyed yesterday’s brilliant sunshine and 23 degree temperatures in Penarth and Cardiff Bay.

Alex booked a cruise on the famous open boat “Daffodil” skippered by Penarth pleasure-boat operator Ben Salter and – judging by the photo – seems to have had a very pleasant time out on the water.

Alex is the latest of a string of celebrities to have sailed on the well-known vessel which runs from the pontoons near the Assembly building around Cardiff Bay to Penarth and back.

Amongst Daffodil‘s other guests cruising Cardiff Bay have been Ant and Dec of “I’m a Celebrity” –
