Police are appealing for information about the alleged assault by a gang of ten

South Wales Police are appealing for information about an alleged attack by a gang of ten youths on two Penarth schoolboys (aged 14 and 16)  respectively – whose bikes were stolen .

The incident is said to have happened in Cedar Way, Penarth at 22:30 on Friday last week but has only now been made public.

Three male youths (one 15 and two 16) who are all from Cardiff were arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of robbery and were subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries. The two stolen bikes were recovered.

Barry CID say: “This was a very unusual incident in Penarth and the victims were very frightened. Three suspects were arrested shortly afterwards and the bicycles recovered..”

Police are asking anyone with any information to contact South Wales Police by dialling 101 or they can call  “Crimestoppers”  anonymously on 0800 555111 . The Crime Reference number is 1600173380.

    Very rare? My Son was attacked with a knife by a youth of 12 my Son 10 over his bike , same place 25 Years ago!

        It wasn’t the point its been more here than is printed plus it was not acceptable or very nice and shouldn’t be seen as such for a decent society

    Could be related to the Gangs of Youths that are congregating at Cwrt y Vil Playing Fields most evenings causing Vandalism

    I am sorry that Fiona’s sons were robbed and these two other boys were robbed a fer days ago. But Fiona one robbery 25 years ago in the same place as a robbery a few days ago does not make it a crime hot spot now does it ?

      As mentioned above one is one too many or are we to get used to these sort of things I hear of a lot more attacks .having a teenager you hear of the real issues on the streets and these don’t get into the papers, Not just in Penarth but other places to put on a ” Safe place to live proparganda” plus I am entitled to my point of view.
