High on the list of many computer-users’ top-ten most stressful experiences is the day the hard-drive dies – but such cases are all grist-to-the-mill for the ‘disc doctors’ of a Penarth firm which has just moved to new premises in the town.
The firm, Data Recovery Specialists, offers recovery services for all types of damaged and corrupted media from all kinds of hard drive and can also extract data from ancient floppy disks and even magnetic tape.
The company – established in 2002 – has been based in Avon House in Stanwell Road, but has now moved closer to the town centre to new premises at Stangate House on Stanwell Road .The company is run by directors Anthony John Pitter and Aran Mark Pitter – a member of Penarth Lifeboat crew.
Aran – who is the commercial director – says “Moving offices has allowed us to continue our expansion. We aim to provide some of the fastest data recovery turn-arounds in the industry and to do this it is imperative that we have the right resources – both in terms of people and data recovery extraction tools. With an influx of new people arriving throughout the summer we are going to be busy with training. Furthermore, our receipt and dispatch process is being streamlined and they need a much bigger area”.
The new address is Data Recovery Specialists, The Lab, 5 Stangate House, Stanwell Road, Penarth, Cardiff CF64 2AA. All other contact details including telephone numbers remain the same.
