The organisation that runs the National Health Service in the Penarth area – the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board – is setting up what it calls “a new listening project” to be called “Our Values into Action”.
For any PDN readers who may not have the Health Board’s “values” immediately to hand, those values are “behaving and treating each other with kindness, trust, integrity and respect”.
Part of the “listening project” will be what the board calls “In Your Shoes” sessions – in which patients and families who have received care from the health board can tell board representatives about their experiences – directly, face-to-face.
The local “In Your Shoes” sessions will be held at the Academic Centre at the University Hospital, Llandough on Monday 26 September, 18:00 to 20:00 and on Tuesday 27 September, 14:00 to 16:00 ·
Patients/former patients can register for any these sessions and get more information on https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/CVUHBvalues or call Cardiff and Vale University Health Board on 029 2074 3303.
They can also complete a “patient experience survey” online at https://eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6Yd0eWov3G3Moux
