Penarth firefighters were called out just before midnight to resolve a late-night dispute between Tennyson Road neighbours involving fireworks

South Wales Police and Penarth Fire brigade were called to an address in Tennyson Road, Penarth just before midnight following  what’s described as a dispute between next-door neighbours involving fireworks.

South Wales Fire and Rescue said they were called to an address in Tennyson Road at 23:26 last night.

The fire service said there was “one female” allegedly “setting off fireworks” which had resulted in a dispute between neighbours. A neighbour intervened to extinguish the fire before the  brigade arrived on the scene.

The blaze was out when the fire brigade and police arrived on the scene.     The fire service said they took no action other than to “give advice in relation to controlled burning”.  

A “stop” message [ indicating the fire was out] was received on the incident at 23.54. The persons involved are also understood to have been interviewed by the police .
