Penarth Fire brigade extracted a trapped teenager last night

Penarth Fire-fighters had to use “hydraulic spreading gear” to prise-open  the bars of a metal gate in which a teenager got stuck last night.

The gate is at the grounds of  Penarth Rugby Club. Quite what the teenager was trying to do is unclear – but the fire service is understood to have been summoned by a mobile phone call just after 21:00 hours  when the casualty was unable to get free from the gate.
