The victim Alicia Forsey (21) and her boyfriend had just bought chips at the shop last  Saturday evening when she was allegedly set-upon by what police had initially said was a “group of girls” and was allegedly struck in the face by a male – breaking her eye socket .

Alicia had needed extensive hospital treatment for her facial injuries before  being allowed home .

Police now say that “two local males” –  aged 17 and 18 respectively –  have been arrested  in connection with the alleged assault and both have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Ms Forsey’s mother  is understood to have witnessed the attack from her car. The victim’s boyfriend was also reported to have been assaulted during the incident.

Police are continuing to appeal for assistance from any eyewitnesses and are asking them to call them on  101 or to call “Crimestoppers” anonymously –  quoting reference 298405.

This report is not correct. The mother was sitting in the car waiting to give her daughter a lift home. When she heard screaming she got out of the car and put herself at risk to try to stop the attack on her daughter. (As most mothers would!). The attack on her male friend happened inside the chipshop. The daughter was firstly stacked by girls outside the chipshop and the another male punched her. Great to hear about the arrests. Sad to hear they are on bail. If you are going to publish a story get the facts right!

When she heard screaming she got out of the car and put herself at risk to try to stop the attack on her daughter. (As most mothers would!). The attack on her male friend happened inside the chipshop. The daughter was firstly attacked by females outside the chipshop and then punched by a male outside the chipshop. CCTV from the shop accross the road was used to identify the people involved! Glad to hear of arrests, sorry to hear that they are out on bale.
