A paramedic team at the barrage locks today

An NHS  paramedic team was called to the Penarth end of the Cardiff barrage this evening following medical emergency on one of the three lifting bridges over the barrage locks.

It’s understood a female pedestrian had been taken ill. Bridge operations were slightly delayed. Further details are awaited.
