The driver of a mini-bus transporting football referees was treated by paramedics and an ambulance crew in Clive Place, Penarth last night

A paramedic fast-response car and an ambulance were called to Clive Place Penarth last night to attend a medical emergency involving a mini-bus driver.

The minibus had collected a  number of football referees who had been having dinner at the  Custom House restaurant at Penarth Marina  but it got no further than the end of Clive Place before having to stop.

The director of a women’s football tournament stood by whilst medical treatment was given to the driver – who was later taken to hospital .

    He must have known he wasn’t rite, before he started his shift.Supposing he crashed with a full minibus…

      Medical emergencies do not necessarily come with prior warning.
