A large shipping container in the front garden of a Penarth house is the subject of a planning enforcement investigation

The Vale of Glamorgan Council is carrying out a planning enforcement investigation into a shipping container which stgands in the front garden of a house in Clive Place, Penarth, adjacent to the Penarth Conservation Area.

The detached house, No 51 Clive Place, is on the eastern side of the road and  directly overlooks properties in the Penarth Conservation area which stand on the western side of the road  – but is not within the designated area itself .

The enforcement investigation notice – published by the Vale Council on its website – describes the alleged contravention as “siting of container” and says the case is “under investigation”.

    I suppose having a shipping container in your garden is the price to pay for having an “award winning economic house”.
