The Penarth Air Cadets who participated in the Battle of Britain commemoration this weekend

The 1148 Penarth Squadron ‏ Air Cadets – along with comrades in arms from the 2077 Squadron of Pontyclun – took part yesterday in the annual parade and memorial service at Penarth Cenotaph to commemorate the anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

The parade is always held on the Sunday following Battle of Britain Day itself which is on September 15th. This is the 76th anniversary of the famous air battle which proved pivotal in defending Britain against the threat of imminent invasion from Nazi Germany.
