Under a grey skies Penarth’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat tows in a disabled yacht to Cardiff Barrage

A sailing yacht adrift without power was towed in to Cardiff Barrage locks this afternoon by Penarth’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat Maureen Lilian.

The 32 fo0t yacht had  three people on board and had been was unable to start its engine in choppy seas  and strong winds. All were landed safety at Penarth  barrage .

The smaller D class lifeboat was called out only yesterday to go the the aid of another vessel.
