FOUR PEOPLE ESCAPE HOUSE FIRE IN PENARTH

img_0073Four people are undergoing treatment after escaping from a house fire in Cornerswell Road, Penarth in the early hours of this morning

Three of the casualties were suffering from smoke inhalation following the outbreak of a blaze in a kitchen on the premises .

Crews from both the Penarth Fire Station and Cardiff’s Central Fire Station attended – with the first crew on the scene in just four minutes of being called . Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus went into the building

The four people inside had escaped the premises before the fire crews arrived. The dwelling was heavily smoke-logged and is being ventilated. Checks are also being carried out on neighbouring property.
