SEVEN CANDIDATES VIE TO BECOME THE NEW MP FOR CARDIFF SOUTH & PENARTH

The sprawling Cardiff South and Penarth constituency stretches from Sully to Splott and Llanrumney

A total of 7 candidates have been nominated as candidates for the  Cardiff South and Penarth parliamentary constituency in the June 8th General Election.

They are:-

  • Andrew Bevan (UKIP Wales)
  • Stephen Doughty (Welsh Labour)
  • Jeb Hedges (Pirate Party UK)
  • Bill Rees (Welsh Conservative )
  • Emma Elizabeth Sands (Welsh Liberal Democrats)
  • Anthony Slaughter (Wales Green)
  • Ian Titherington (Plaid Cymru)

Only 3 candidates Andrew Bevan, Stephen Doughty and Jeb Hedges have opted to avoid making their home addresses public  – and instead just state the constituency in which they live.  Bevan lives in the “Cardiff Central Constituency”, Doughty in the “Cardiff South and Penarth Constituency” and Jeb Hedges in the “Vale of Glamorgan Constituency”.

One of Stephen Doughty’s assentors is named as “Sivaruby Sivagnanam” who stood for election to the Vale of Glamorgan Council last week under a different name –  “Ruba Sivagnanam” .

Until Monday this week, Ms Sivagnanam was a company director of Penarth Headland Link Ltd [ the company behind the scheme to build the controversial  cycle-path/walkway on the foreshore around Penarth Head]  – but resigned from that position on Monday May 8th 2017 just 4 days after being elected to the Vale Council where she now represents the St Augustine’s Ward.

So we have a Labour MP who says that his leader’s office tell lies, and a top supporter who changes their name and has very questionable credentials.

And this guy wants me to trust him with my vote??!

  2. Chris David says:

Toss up between Pirate and Green maybe! Where’s the FDP when you need them?
