The Penarth Atlantic 85 lifeboat Maureen Lilian was called out this morning to the aid of a broken down fishing boat with three men on board

Penarth lifeboat was called out this morning to go to the aid of a 22-foot-long single-engined fishing boat-  with 3 men aboard –  which had  fouled a propellor in the Bristol Channel.

The boat had originally been assisted by another fishing vessel –  the Catherine Rose – which handed over her tow to the lifeboat.

One of the four crew of the lifeboat boarded the “casualty vessel”  – a 40-year-old Cleopatra Express  – before she was towed back to Penarth.

All three men on the boat appeared to be safe and well.
