MAN IS STABBED IN THE CHEST ON A PENARTH TRAIN

The train runs from Penarth to Rhymney

A man in his twenties who was stabbed in the chest on the train from Penarth to Rhymney is said to be in a “stable” condition after undergoing emergency treatment for “serious injuries”.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm – one of whom is also suspected of the possession of an unspecified weapon .

The incident happened on Friday at around 16:00 when the train from Penarth was  Pontlottyn station on its way to Rhymney . It’s not known where the victim or his alleged attackers boarded the train.

British Transport Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the alleged attack.
