EMERGENCY SERVICES CALLED TO CASUALTY NEAR COGAN STATION

Two fire engines and several police cars attended an incident last night near Cogan railway station where it’s reported that a person had fallen from a wall adjacent to the railway tracks.

The casualty had apparently landed in bushes just after 19:00 hours  – but was confirmed to be “breathing and conscious”. 

Ambulance paramedics dealt with the casualty and further information is awaited

Anyone on the parapet of the road bridge could fall onto the tracks below

The Cogan Hill road bridge which crosses over the Barry to Cardiff railway line , area has been the subject of a number of emergencies in the past  – including apparent suicide attempts.
