A newly re-furbished golf shop has been opened this week at the Glamorganshire Golf Club in Penarth by newly-appointed head professional Matthew Dearden

The new Pro Shop stocks  all the latest products from the major manufacturers and there’s also a high-tech golf simulator which will enable visitors and members to try their hand at playing a virtual hole or a complete at some of the most famous golf courses in the world.

The Glamorganshire Golf Club is the oldest inland course in Wales and is the birthplace of the Stableford scoring system. It hosted the 2015 Welsh Team Golf Championships and is highly regarded as one of the best Clubs around and welcomes new applications for membership.

Matthew Dearden says “I am delighted with the response from Members and overwhelmed by the level of support I have received on opening. It was great see so many new faces and I look forward to working with everyone to ensure a successful future for the Golf Club.”
