The conman is said to claim his kids are “allergic to vinegar” and demands a cash refund in compensation.

Traders in Penarth are circulating information about a conman who has been trying to extort cash from fast-food retailers in the town by claiming his children are “allergic to vinegar”.

The man who is 40 years old with dark hair claims to have bought hot food – such as chips – from the premises and then given it to his “children” .

He then claims his children are “allergic to vinegar” and tells shop assistants that he has been informed “by the boss” that he will be given a “refund” of £20.
