  1. Racist Mark (aka M)ark Foster says:

Will the South Wales Police please tell us whether the arrestees are immigrants and whether they are Black, Muslim, Middle Eastern, North African, Eastern European, Tanned or White Indigenous British? Do they believe that the race of the alleged offenders has any bearing on the crime? Will the South Wales Police target the relevant community and are they able to investigate them? If they cannot, how do they propose to solve the crime? Do they have any advice for the citizens of Penarth other than to lock your doors and windows?

    • penarthblog says:

They could be white racist fascists, would you condemn them?

      • Racist Mark (aka Mark Foste) says:

Absolutely. The point is that knifings, gun crime, muggings, acid attacks and rapes of young girls are almost exclusively committed by blacks and Muslim immigrants. Only what you call a racist policy will solve the problem, and there is no way that a British democratic party will solve it, whereas a fascist will.

    • Bored Ben says:

Where is your evidence “Racist Mark”? Please provide a link to your source if you insist on continuing to make these claims.

ONS only hold data based on victims and crime but not on the characteristics, race, religion or how tanned they might be..

You also seem hellbent on assuming someone is Muslim based on how they look or where they are from!

      Typical singleminded white supremacist ideology..

  2. Frank Evans says:

Nobody bothers stealing DVD players or computers these dsys. It’s gold and silver jewellery they want.
I wonder where it’s being pawned off to?

  3. penarthblog says:

The way I see it, it’s not just the monetary value, it’s also the emotional value that can never be replaced. In addition, the violation of one’s territory is horrendous and no matter if the ones responsible are caught or not, it will dwell on the victims minds for a long time.

    • whatsoccurin says:

Agree-always felt much more vulnerable in Cardiff Gate than I do in Penarth. Recently a house near where I lived was burgled (Indian Doctor-rumours of stash of Gold)-neighbours rang the police and PCSOs and local police turned up immediately-four burglars of the “travelling fraternity” still threw their weight around, until the arrival of the armed police, which “triggered” a dramatic change in attitude (all got long custodial sentences).

    • Daniel says:

Well put, penarthblog. I agree about the emotional impact – the taking of family possessions and the invasion of one’s home, never the same place again.

  4. Papa Lazarou says:

Why do the police only release this information a month after the events?? Monthly stats maybe

  5. Andrew Worsley says:

‘Operation Galactica!’ …..LOL ……………lol …… going to fight the entire universe are we? lol …… about the sublime to the ridiculous, when the Police in Penarth are not doing the job they are paid for and shoving half trained PSCOs on the streets as a token gesture to the residents is it any wonder there are opportunists who will take advantage of the lack of any real deterent?. Now if it was issuing threats to rowdy youngsters near the Police Commissioners home errrrr! I mean at the end of Rectory Rd and telling them to ‘get out of town’ Dodge City style, the Police can handle that……its just the big stuff like CRIME or to be correct real crime . Walking around in a yellow jacket and carrying or wearing an array of items does not deter criminals. Can they call the next operation something like ‘Operation Universe’ or maybe ‘Operation Vader’? they are probably ahead of me on that . To close alli can say is ” don’t make me laugh” oh! you already did ……….Keystone Cops comes to mind.

  6. daipop1 says:

Operation Galactica! Sorry there are no Cylons attacks in space just too many youths wandering the streets at all hours of the night intent on stealing ? What exactly is the form of deterrent proposed ? Only additional patrols & boots on the ground will deter these robbers – ray guns are an optional extra set on maximum disrupt ?????
Come in Commander ADAMA aka Alun Michael😂

  7. Andrew Worsley says:

Should have mentioned ‘dog poo’ in my article above to get more responses (lesson learnt) I should have also said forget the burglaries get on with dog crap enforcement , the people of Penarth are obsess. errrr!…..very concerned about it .

  8. Tom says:

This household obviously has no money, the cufflinks are only worth £95. And who collects lord of the rings swords? A bit strange to me..

    • Ralph says:

What a particularly stupid comment. Firstly how do you know they have no money and most importantly what difference would it make – they’ve still been burgled.
By the way do you own an Omega Speedmaster watch yourself ?

      • Le Compte says:

I have to agree with ‘Tom’… it doesn’t look like the crime of the century… why would someone go to the trouble to steal these not very valuable trinkets? It is indeed a very strange collection of items.

      • Ralph says:

Similar stupid comment from Le Compte.
An Omega Speedmaster Professional Moon Watch retails at around £3,500.
        Nice trinket

  9. Andrew Worsley says:

Can we please have only sensible responses to this item ? , like my own lol .
