Penarth police would like to hear from anyone who can identify this person

Penarth Police have issued a – somewhat grainy – photo of a person they wish to speak to in connection with a theft from Boots in Penarth on October 30th 2018.

Detectives ask whether anyone can recognise “this individual”?

Anyone with any information can call the police on 101 quoting reference 1800413223 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111

The CCTV camera in Windsor Road, Penarth

It might have been hoped that rather better quality images could have been available on that day from  the Safer Vale Partnership CCTV camera which is mounted across the road from Boots – but it is still unclear whether the Penarth Town Centre CCTV cameras are working .

  1. With video quality like that Boots only have themselves to blame.

  2. The Tax payer says:

Probably due to data protection laws 👍😂

  3. Mixed Bag says:

Maybe he left it in a litter bin nearby 😉

  4. Andrew Worsley says:

We know the town centre cameras are not working ,I keep saying so but it doesn’t sink in. I was told by a member of the Police sometime early last year that the monitors for the Cameras had been sent to the Bridgend Police Station . So without monitors the cameras are just junk up a pole . Unless he lied to me hmmmmmmm n naw! the Police wouldn’t lie EVER.

    • Harry Parfitt says:

That’s not very convincing evidence. It’s hearsay which is almost two years old and you might have been lied to. Never mind that, we KNOW the town centre cameras are not working.

    • Lou says:

Hi Andrew. Just a reminder. Tomorrow is the Christmas lights switch on in Penarth. Leave yourself plenty of time to get your comments in. Why not spend some time this evening writing them in advance?

  5. George says:

Average if not skinny build person trainers, sweats and short dark hair. That narrows it down by at least 50%, assuming this is a bloke and not female.

  6. Frank Evans says:

The clarity of that CCTV. Did they use their camers in queen street to capture it.

  7. cogan nomen says:

    Young Jim Carrey .

  8. Andrew Worsley says:

Already done my contribution Lou you wag! you will have to be quicker than that with your usual ‘put downs ‘ . Try typing with both hand might be better , put the glass down till you have done it hic!. Another chappie who proves once again that the Welsh have no sense of humour , I say keep it up all you Welsh boyos!! proving my case completely such as Lou Lou well done .
