Changes in the Vale of Glamorgan council schedule for rubbish collections HAVE been made for the New Year weekend and next week – but some local residents have found difficulty in locating the information on the Vale website -so here it is.

If your rubbish is normally collected on a Thursday then it needed to have been put out for collection this morning (Saturday December 29th).

Yup. Wish more people would take note. Bins have been out for days now. Stoopid peoples.

    • sjleworthy says:

To add, if diffuculty is happening online, a simple phone call to the vale or a copy of the penarth times with the info is available. No excuses.

      • Knee deep in recycling bags says:

Phone call to the Vale ? Over their extended Christmas break !
        Haha, you’ll be lucky !

  4. whitechapel eat your heart out says:

so much for a new age of modesty – judging by the amount of stuff going out people ain’t half been putting it back over the break.
the way things are going they’ll need more than one van to clear this lot.
with all the accumulating rubbish strewn, the town looks like slums.

  5. Martin Spriggs says:

I seem to remember back in the summer the council sent out an email saying that collections would be on your normal collection day and that they would catch up on the missed days but as usual the council do as they like and tell us about it afterwards. They are a joke all they want to do is put the council tax up and give us less services and pay themselves more.

    • Conflicting Messages says:

Yes, this is what I thought too – that the council had said collections would be on our normal day.
Very confusing, and has led to the streets looking terrible.

    • Lorraine Clarke says:

I remember this too. I have a booklet that was delivered together with an insert relaying what you say. As you say, the council just seems to do what they like.
