The RNLI tractor and trailer launched Penarth lifeboat  just after mid-day

Penarth lifeboat was called out this afternoon to carry out what might well turn out to be the RNLI station’s final call out of the year.

The lifeboat was launched to go to the aid of a fishing boat with engine problems which was eventually located with direction finding equipment  half a mile East of the Penarth Outer harbour.

The 3 people on board the vessel included a  young girl who was reported to be ” a little wet but drying off in a warm cabin” after being checked by two lifeboat crew members.

The boat was towed  into Cardiff Bay and berthed at the Penarth Water-taxi berth where it was received by Penarth Coastguards
